I have just completed the second stage of my recently declassified project to produce my vintage of the world finest and most unusual Glogg. I have been steeping various fruits in rum for about four years and have now deemed them ready to be transformed into something...well something. So today I liquidised the lot and added some wine and more spices to produce 7 litres of what resembles massively alcoholic Jam. Stage 3 is currently a trade secret, but rest assured that this Warrington take on the classic Swedish Christmas drink will be ready in a matter of mere months.

"Following the GMTV phone scandal, Manchester City are sueing the Premier League and FA for allowing them to enter competitions they had no chance of winning."

I am thinking of replacing Windows XP on my old laptop with 'Ubuntu' a Linux based OS (http://www.ubuntu.com
). Apparently it can run OpenOffice, Firefox etc.
I mostly use the machine for surfing and word-processing so think it might be suitable.
Would any of you clever techies recommend it?

Mr Peter Watts has released 'Blindsight' his new novel on a creative commons license free to down load (I think his publishers pissed him off). Very clever stuff - a bit reductionist admittedly, but still froody: http://www.rifters.com/real/shorts.htm

Mmmmm, not sure I recognise myself here. Think I'm a minuscule bit less clean cut and authoritative. Do have a relationship with a very weird chick tho.

Sometimes I am actualy quite proud of my football club:
'On Tuesday October 10, 2006, Manchester City became the first football club in the UK to achieve the "Kick It Out" Intermediate Standard for Racial Equality'
28.8.06: 'The City of Manchester stadium is set to become the first in the world to be powered by its own wind turbine. Manchester City Football Club has been granted planning permission to erect an 85m (279ft) turbine, which will also generate power for nearby homes.'
27.8.06: Manchester City have just paid a four-figure sum to join Stonewall's Diversity Champions scheme. Alistair Mackintosh, the club's chief executive, said: 'We want to send a welcoming message to gay, lesbian and bisexual supporters, be inclusive and be a progressive employer.' The fact that a high-profile Premiership club are taking this step to break down barriers is clearly positive and hopefully other clubs will follow their lead,' said an FA spokeswoman.
Now if we could only learn to pass the bloody ball......

Robin Hood ..WTF !!! Derivative, generic characterless shit, at least it didn't have billy piper in it. Jointly financed by a US TV company according to the credits - I think we just sold them the equivalent of the bloody London Bridge again.
